GOOD TO KNOW
QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED.
The things most people ask before their first session. Anything else—just ask when you send your idea.
How long will my tattoo take?
It depends on size, detail, and placement. Small pieces are often finished in a single short sitting, while large-scale black and grey work books by half-day or full-day session and may take multiple sessions. You'll get a realistic estimate when the design is scoped.
How much do tattoos cost?
A full-day session (up to 8 hours) is $1,200 and a half-day session (up to 4 hours) is $600. Small tattoos are quoted individually with a $100 minimum. Consultations are always free.
How do I prepare for my tattoo?
Get a full night's sleep, eat a solid meal beforehand, and stay hydrated. Skip alcohol for 24 hours before your session, wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the placement, and avoid sunburn on the area in the weeks before.
What should I expect during the healing process?
Some redness and tenderness in the first few days, then light peeling and itching for one to two weeks. Most tattoos are fully settled in four to six weeks. Read the full aftercare instructions—including second skin care—any time.
Can I bring a friend to my appointment?
One guest is welcome. Unit K is a private studio, so please keep it to a single person to keep the space focused and comfortable.
What is your cancellation policy?
Give at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule. Deposit terms are confirmed directly when the session is booked.
Do you do color tattoos?
The focus is black and grey realism and surrealism, with selective color accents where a design calls for it. Send the idea and we can talk it through in the consultation.
How do I pay?
Cash, Zelle, and Venmo are accepted.
